Speaking of holistic care, I was amused by the statement, “Roses are not my favorite, prefer more useful plants.” But of course, holistically speaking, by planting these roses, you brought others happiness. So, good on you (whoever you are) and good on the roses!

I'd like to share a link to a photo (since my garden is sort of pathetic this summer!) that's similar to a huge flower that grew by accident from bird seed I'd scattered in my yard several years ago. Bold, beautiful and tenacious, as well as food right on the flower for goldfinches.
