Thanks for speaking up. All of you. When I realized how terribly wrong this is going, I thought it was me and I might be crazy. I stumbled into gender when it entered (and has now exited, it seems) my family. It was serious. I'm liberal and this topic has changed everything for me, especially how I see the world. I suddenly realize how judgy I was towards conservatives because I was "on the right side". Now I'm more open to diversity of opinion. I'm just so grateful for all of you, and the many others speaking about this. All I can do is have little conversations here and there and hope I'm helping in some small way.

synopsis: whatever we do or determine, the most important point is that feminism must not be found culpable

There was a strawman argument that suggested that the forcing open of male exclusive spaces to allow women to enter as part of a feminist agenda created a 'slippery slope' towards the development of trans ideology.

A clearer origin of the trans ideology/movement is rooted in the legal argument put forth by feminist activists on favor of Title IX was that female athletes could compete against men if only they were allowed access to the same training facilities. They argued that there were no sex differences which made sex exclusive sports necessary. Women were the victims of sex based discrimination because of male exclusive training facilities, locker rooms, etc.

When this failed to generate the results that they believed were inevitable, the same activists didn't completely abandon their notions of sex distinctions as cultural, they pushed for equal participation of women in sports which led to many men's sports programs being eliminated in universities in order to get the numbers to balance.

As an example, at my alma mater, the men's soccer club was permanently denied varsity status; whereas, the women's soccer club which had not applied for varsity status had it granted. Coincidentally, this occurred at around the same time that the Women's Studies department was rebranded as Gender Studies

It doesn't help the agenda to return medicine back to rationality and science by denying the sources of this madness
