Why is this not the slam-dunk answer to all of this? If “gender-affirming care” is “lifesaving,” why can no one point to all the deaths that must have happened prior to its development?

To add in for the 20% or so boys--the situation for the boys is completely unclear as well..Anne Lawrence knew when she was a teen that she wanted medical intervention and is happy to have medicalized, but although she was sure as a teen, many others who were deeply certain at the time (as teens or older) later realized it was not the right long term path for them (either before or after medical intervention). Many have been harmed by a treatment they thought was what they needed, that they were told was what they needed. Even in the "Dutch protocol" hand picked group of young people, where they are finally starting to tell the world how these people are doing more than a year or so past surgery (at least in conference abstracts), significant numbers have changed their identity since or not had a relationship, but even there because of loss to follow up even the fraction who would make the decision the same way if they knew what they know now, is unknown....
Given all this, I still don't understand how this intervention was elevated to "necessary", available online and on-demand. Thank you.
I’m trying to explain the way “conversion therapy” now means exploring your gender and sexuality without fast tracking to transition. Have you published an article on this phenomenon in the mental health field and in law?
This harm is all necessitated by the invisible, ineffable gender-essence that cannot be detected by modern science, but is nevertheless "science." Patent medicine, make it "woke."
I believe even “socially transitioning” kids such as “affirming” them is causing such mental gymnastics that swaps the parent/pediatrician/teacher/therapist/ADULT in authority role such that the child LOSES the sense of SAFETY that sane, responsible, adults create with wisdom, love, care, human experience, and the boundaries created to keep kids whole and safe while they grow. ‘Do no harm’ is also not socially transitioning them, especially behind the parents back as an act of collusion. Any "doctor" or "surgeon" who contributes to the defacement of a child's body is nothing but the extended hand of the Evil.
Adults have their own responsibility, although even in this case it can be debated... is it right to transform God's work in the name of medicine?
