The new administration and possible policy changes are too late for my family and my daughter, but I continue to write and stand firm in hopes that other families will avoid the tragedy that occurred in my family.
It's ironic that this post congratulates Corinna Cohn's rational, polite, and civil appearance at the school board meeting while it also seems to celebrate the inauguration of a man who would have been rude, insulting, dishonest and unhinged.
Sure, Trump will take a whack at gender ideology, and one that is deserved, but I think this victory will prove Pyrrhic. One more triumph like this and the nation will be lost.
I didn't read this post as a celebration of Trump:

It's not a celebration of Trump, but it might as well be. If you see him as "necessary" to your cause (even as a "necessary evil"), you need to to rethink your strategy. We need courageous whistleblowers and multiple lawsuits to stop gender ideology. We don't need Trump!
It’s not about loyalty to Trump but about necessity? Are you serious? We don't "need" Trump to fight gender ideology. The man is mentally unstable, and we don't need or want him for anything at all. So he announces there are just two genders? Good for him and his MAGA base, but don't think it will help your cause. He is already motivating the far left to dig in their heels, just when some of them were beginning to get a clue. Meanwhile, he's setting out to destroy what remains of our fragile democracy.
