a question in the first five minutes of this awful presentation that would have gone something like this… “You say that children are punished for gender-nonconforming behavior. So why don’t we change society and stop “punishing” children for gender-nonconforming behavior and instead let them express themselves -- their personalities and aesthetics -- in any ways they want so that we then don’t have to change their bodies in medically and sexually destructive ways? Isn’t that true activism?”
She claims that children with “high levels of family non-acceptance” are 8 times more likely to attempt suicide and that improving family acceptance reduces that risk. Any references to support that claim, were they given? What studies is she referring to and how did they measure “acceptance”?
Social transition is not associated with improved mental health (sievert et Al) but telling kids they are not accepted by their parents based upon parents not agreeing to unsupported treatment seems predatory but I suspect happens.......right up there with the whole "abuse" lie the kids and teachers are told....

My gosh, thank you for your courage despite the physician speaker “deputizing” others in the audience to tell ppl to stop recording. Why are they so secretive? If you’re comfortable with what you’re saying, just say it as out loud as you want.
There's a reason we use the terms heterosexual and homosexual rather than heterogender and homogender. Those words revolve around sex and sexuality, not abstract, undefinable, and measureless notions of gender and gender identity. People are attracted to others based on sex, the other person's sex organs, and the other person's sexual characteristics, not on the other person's internal feeling of themselves.
How odd. 99% of us are both as male or female sex, not gender. The 1% are those called 'intersex,' or with genitals of both, to one degree or another. 'Gender' comes later and has a wider range, usually around a dozen or so. They have always been with us, just called different things in times gone by, ie, 'sissy', 'tomboy,' etc. My pragmatic solution--democracy all along the line, but no surgeries until past the age of majority.

In my experience, the folks most likely to punish children for gender-nonconforming behavior are people who believe in Gender Theory....
Of course, they think it's "affirming" to constantly question the sex of a child who plays with the "wrong" toys.
