Presumably you have been in touch with Genspect who were hosting a conference at the same time as the Irish WPath one....with completely different views to WPath?
Please recommend books and articles and keep writing your excellent pieces.
The shutting down of free speech is so immature and concerning to me, and demonstrates their subjectivity and fear of being exposed as ...well just wrong.
None of this would matter if the medicine wasn't dangerous.
Thank you, Aaron. It's so disturbing to see the middleschool dynamic of ostracizing and dehumanizing anyone going against the grain among these professionals. The phrase "banality of evil" also comes to mind. Ad hominem is a fallacy and these people cannot or do not respond to substantive critique, instead destroying the speaker. They seem to imagine the speaker is deceitful (projection?) and harbor a delusional view that any human beings who have concerns with their protocols are just evil persons who spontaneously became "bigoted." It's utterly cartoonish and immature. Thank you for exposing them.
Thank you Aaron, your voice is extremely important in this debate.
As we can see, the proponents of gender ideology are very aggressive, argue strongly for their position, and respond rapidly.
We are going to have to be willing to match their high level of energy to be able to counteract them.
What would that look like? Let’s take Aaron’s situation as an example. Not to pick on him, since his goals were different in this case, but in future similar situations, the person could contact the conference organizers ahead of time and explain the past harassment and false reports and ask for their protection if such were to happen again.
When directly engaging, they could resist the urge to let themselves be put on the defensive, and instead strongly challenge the views of those attempting to discredit them.
If subject to personal attacks, they could report them.
Standing up and fighting for our cause and our rights can be really scary - it certainly is for me - but it’s necessary.
Thank you for speaking out and trying to get some sansible reflection into the trans movement. When there is such a huge uptick in any phenomenon such as the recent trend of teenage girls identifying as trans for the first time in their lives, then the question of WHY really has to be asked, and answered, in as many ways as possible.
To not even accept asking the kind of questions you raise is to completely blot out the reality: there is no way to transform a functioning female body into a functioning male body. Period. The best that can be done is to use major surgery, with all its risks, and a lifetime of hormone treatments, in order to make one type of body resemble more closely the other type, hopefully with some ability to perform and enjoy sex acts with the altered body. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Aaron.
@Aaron - thank you so much for your voice. I am 100% standing with you and GDA, GETA, and other organizations that are taking a reality-based stance in understanding and treating the complexities of gender dysphoria in young people. Shame on WPATH for shutting down your attempts to foster awareness and conversation about the iatrogenic harms of a blindly affirming approach.
Just FYI when I try to restack, that horrible post about the GDA being a "hate" group shows up as the large header image of the post, giving the impression that it represents the content of the post...
Aaron

Shocking.
Aaron, did someone teach you nonviolence principles? Because if so, well done.

Aaron,
As an ROGD mom, I can’t possibly thank you enough for the work you do.
I’ve read through all this twice now (and will take action as suggested). It makes less sense each time I read it.
What on Earth do you make of this? Do you know any of these folks personally or professionally?
Is their stance really that transition is appropriate in each and every situation?
