What is happening in Canada is extremely frightening and is starting to be echoed in the US with a Davis California library shutting down a speaker for calling transidentified males men at a meeting on saving women’s sports. Seems to me that this approach of the Courage Coalition is conceding that the state has a right to dictate if or how one can express one’s opinions and that can further compel “reeducation” of those with dissident views, with refusal costing one’s professional lucense. . I also don’t think there is any chance that this group or others who depart from the approved trans narrative will be chosen to do the “reeducation.” But my main point is that comperlled “reeducation” has no place in a free society to begin with.
I was recommended this Substack but this letter confirms my immediate suspicions. The ‘Authors’ of this group are taking it upon themselves not to side with the freedom of speech of a well respected psychologist over the manipulative intrusion of a regional ‘college’ (as the body is known) of Canadian psychiatry. Instead they wish to arbitrate it by delivering the punishment, the guile of which creeps into the absurd. The premise of a child protective group by LGB & Adult T is beleaguered with an ideological and identitarian hubris. Many Trans people who have been silent for over a decade of child experimentation now see the writing on the wall, along with the inevitable backlash that Gay like me have been predicting for most of that time. Of course some ‘Trans’ identifying people, the ones who wore their new identity as fashion or fetish, will simply revert out of their identity. Those adults and young people now compelled to remain either due to their psychological, hormonal or surgical dependance will be left to explain whether they are vulnerable due to the misbehaviour of over zealous advocates, abusers or indeed their own activism.
Peterson isnt right on everything he is by his own admission ‘human’.. what I take issue with is that if people watching on are feeling the negative attention he has had forced on him by irresponsible government sponsored bodied “could be better managed”; you are by your half measured intercedance, condoning public trails not only of therapist, but of regular people too. The fact that Peterson has dropped his formal academic position and most if not all his active clients so that he can speak freely, only to be harangued by every ‘KIND’ person on the defensive from the most corrupted outlook of unquestioningly Transing kids, whilst flushing the definition of sex based rights and Gay, Lesbian and Women's rights down the toilet in a way that has specifically undermined Trans rights for the few adults who wernt caught in a moment of vulnerable histrionics is sad for all concerned. Peterson knows this. People who lived through the complexities of homophobia pre-2000 on reflection can smell a fish. Some Women still are either currencying their rights off (or the rights of others) but mostly women are realising the madness laying waste in schools, private places and spaces and a few handmaidens and sociopaths continue to stick their noses into the mess while the rest of us politely push the dial back to sanity. Dont be the idiots and get your hands dirty handling Canadas mess.
I should have added that I trust detransioner young kids and adults don't owe anyone their stories for exploitation in the media. I trust attorneys who are actively helping detransioners to get monetary compensation for medical malpractice.
