You are a gifted writer. Your message is beautiful and clear and deep. Thank you for taking your time to express what so many feel , but can not articulate so thoughtfully.
The feeling of hope that your piece inspired brought tears to my eyes. I've cried plenty in the last few years over my own family's struggle with gender ideology and its capture of our daughter; but these are the only happy tears I remember experiencing in that time. Yes, I remember now, life can be good and, in many ways, it actually IS GOOD. Your words will likely help so many to find that light that is so hard to see from under the oppressive gender cloud that surrounds us. I hope some day my girl might wake up full of excitement to take her (future) partner and kids to a town fair (or something equally as simple and wonderful) instead of waking with the imposed weight of believing she was born in the "wrong body" (a weight that did not exist in her youth or the start of puberty, but only appeared once she realized she was same-sex attracted and that boys in her life were sexualizing the beautiful, healthy body that she has). Please continue to speak out on your experience, you have a beautiful spirit and a trustworthy voice. I hope the world is smart enough to listen. From one mom to another, thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring about my kid (and those like her) enough to share your story.
I’m also a lesbian and feel the same about the narrative being pushed in the name of “supporting LGBTQ” people (not in my name!) I also really resonated with your idea of just living a good life. It’s a pretty revolutionary concept, it seems.
This was WONDERFUL and exactly what I needed to read right now. Everything you wrote resonates deeply with me, but sometimes I forget about these things in the flurry of the news cycle. I hope you will write more on this topic, or related themes of living a good life while remaining politically aware and standing apart from the crowd. Thank you for your voice!
