We will be adding a monthly feature titled: Dissecting the Distortion: A Look at This Month's Misleading Gender Medicine Story. This feature will highlight a monthly story published in the American or Canadian press that desperately needed an editor who has at least heard of Hillary Cass. We welcome your suggestions for the worst story you can find, please send your recommendations to LGBTcouragecoalition@gmail.com
We will continue to share writing of Jamie Reed, Executive Director of LGBT-CC now to be regular bi-monthly feature titled: Midwesterner Morels.
We will add a monthly feature story highlighting the voice of one of the silenced majority from within the LGBT titled: My Place in the Pride Parade.
We will continue to release Press Releases when important events need our voice.
We will continue to cross post from some of our featured writers including: Gender Crossroads, Arty Morty, Lisa Selin-Davis, Ben Appel, Aaron Kimberly, Aaron Terrell, and more.
Grants:
Feeling particularly hopeful in this post Cass Review era we are actively seeking suggestions for grants to apply for.
Key words would be: LGBT, Education, Science, Medicine, Free Speech.
If you have any suggestions for grants that you believe would be in our wheelhouse please send your suggestions to: LGBTcouragecoalition@gmail.com
Seeking an Attorney:
The LGBT-CC is seeking an attorney. This attorney would be currently practicing law, would be LGBT, and be highly motivated to be working on cases from a similar position that the LGBT-CC takes on pediatric gender medicine.
The right attorney would be able to assist in challenges to therapist from conversion therapy laws, to protect whistleblowers, and in general working to protect LGBT rights while taking a strong evidence first stance on pediatric gender medicine.
The right attorney would also be willing to be a public figure. They would be asked to provide legal analysis of current court cases in the United States and legislation regulating pediatric gender medicine.
The LGTB-CC hold strong appreciate for all legal minds already working in this space, for those representing detransitioner’s and for those representing whistleblowers already. We are seeking to add to this courageous group with someone who has personal knowledge with being LGBT.
Please share this call out far and wide.
Interested individuals can reach out to LGBTcouragecoalition@gmail.com
Appreciation:
We at LGBT-CC want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Whether you're a subscriber, a donor, or someone who shares our work, your support fuels our fight for a better future.
We're facing some formidable opponents – Goliaths who rely on money and empty rhetoric to silence important conversations. They may have vast resources at their disposal, but they lack what truly matters: courage, scientific evidence, and the unwavering support of a real community.
We're here to challenge the status quo. We see a medical establishment that is failing our youth, specifically young LGBT individuals. We can't accept organizations that prioritize ideological medical practices over the well-being of these vulnerable communities. We have always deserved evidence based gold standard medicine, from before President Ronald Reagan was able to say the word AIDS, till now.
You, our supporters, empower us to push back against these Goliaths who want to maintain the status quo. We're not debating basic vocabulary like "homosexual;" we're advocating for real conversations about healthcare and the safety of young people.
Thank you for standing with us. Together, with your continued support, we can create positive change.
With sincere appreciation,
LGBT-CC
As a proud lesbian, heartbroken over this latest cultural moment - and all of the undermining of true LGBT liberation being done in our own name, I am incredibly heartened by the work of the LGBT courage coalition. I never thought we’d be here. But alas. So thank you.
Fantastic news! Thanks for making this happen!
