LBTC-CC Supports the Seventh Whistleblower in Pediatric Gender Medicine in Response to the Free Press Planned Parenthood Story.
St. Louis, MO – The LGBT Courage Coalition (https://www.lgbtcourage.org) is supporting the seventh whistleblower in the United States from the field of pediatric gender medicine. This courageous anonymous individual has filed a formal complaint with their Attorney General’s office.
The LGBT Courage Coalition (LGBT-CC) is a group of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender adults advocating for reform in youth gender medicine. They also provide direct support to whistleblowers, both publicly named and anonymous. This includes connecting them with legal representation, offering support and guidance, and assisting them in working with journalists.
The first professionals to raise concerns about pediatric gender medicine in the United States were Dr. Erica Anderson and Dr. Laura Edwards-Leeper, who co-authored a piece detailing concerning practices in the industry.
Jamie Reed, the first whistleblower from a pediatric gender center, filed a formal affidavit and complaint with a state Attorney General’s office. Her article, which gained international attention, exposed the morally concerning realities of "gender-affirming care" at the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the LGBT-CC, Reed continues to advocate for reform.
Three additional whistleblowers in the United States came forward between 2023 and 2024: Dr. Eithan Haim, licensed therapist Tamara Pietzke, and registered nurse Vanessa Sivadge.
With the addition of the seventh whistleblower, the LGBT-CC believes it’s past time for federal level hearings into the medical harms in this field. The organization has also supported whistleblowers from Canada and works with whistleblowers in the United Kingdom. Canadian whistleblower Aaron Kimberly stated, “Whistleblowing was a choice of conscience. I couldn’t remain silent. However, I couldn’t have predicted the overwhelming consequences on my life. Support through the process has been invaluable.”
Tamara Pietzke faced the loss of her job following her whistle blow, LGBT-CC assisted her in fundraising and setting up a private practice. Pietzke stated, “Having the support has given me the courage to keep having a voice. There’s power and hope knowing you’re not standing alone.”

Thank you anonymous whistleblower and thank you LGBT courage campaign!
Jamie and others. I am involved in a project working to encourage one or more Congressional hearings. Maybe we should coordinate.
