Centers:
Twenty-five states have enacted laws restricting pediatric gender medicine. Many of these states are currently in court defending these restrictions. A critical case from Tennessee will be heard by the Supreme Court within the next year.
To start, identify your state on a map. If your state has implemented such restrictions, research any remaining pediatric gender centers within its borders.
While these laws can offer crucial protections for minors, effective enforcement and assurance of best-practice care are essential. Investigate whether these centers are providing appropriate treatment or simply referring minors to unrestricted states. Contact the centers directly, inquire about their policies, and encourage local journalists to investigate. Persistent follow-up is key. If necessary, consider participating in the upcoming "quiet quitting" campaign (launching in September).
Note: Arizona's restrictions currently apply only to surgeries.
Let's revisit the states and focus on those marked as gray. There are limited opportunities to potentially shift these states to red. Kansas, the sole red state without restrictions, and Virginia, the only southern state without restrictions, are potential targets. Some may contend that certain purple states, such as Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, could also be persuaded to adopt similar legislation.
It's more probable that we'll witness a few more states enacting surgical restrictions, with perhaps two or three additional states changing their stance entirely.
Consequently, nonviolent direct action and quiet quitting might become the primary strategies in the gray states.
On the 26th, we will review eleven states and offer specific target recommendations.
