‘Twas the night before reckoning, and all through the land,
The courts were deciding, the truth close at hand.
The lawsuits were filed with precision and care,
In hopes that the children would all soon be spared.
The Party was restlessly tucked in their bed,
While slogans and speeches danced in their head.
“Affirmation!” they muttered. “We’ll stick to the plan!”
As whistleblowers cried, “There’s blood on your hands!”
When out in the world, there arose such a clatter,
The Cass Report thundered—“‘Tis evidence that matters!”
Away to the headlines, the public soon flew,
And learned of the damage—what whistleblowers knew.
The Ghosts had come knocking: Past, Present, and Future,
Exposing the clinics as cruel, not a suture.
The Party awoke, with their heart full of fright,
Having seen the harm done in the dark of the night.
“‘Tis not too late!” came a whisper from near,
“Stop transing gay kids—let the truth persevere.
The Courage Coalition stands ready and strong,
To right what was broken, to fix what was wrong.”
And I heard them proclaim as they marched out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to all—and to all, DO WHAT’S RIGHT!”
Well done!
This is awesome and so well done and unfortunately very true!! Merry Christmas!!
